Pyramid Style Tents

If you’re in the market for a new backcountry tent, consider an ultralight pyramid style tent. These tents are lightweight and are great for backcountry ski trips. Plexamid tents

Unlike conventional pyramid style tents, Plexamid tents are free standing, allowing you to set up the tent in a matter of minutes. Below Treeline

While Pyramid style tents are generally recommended for use above treeline, they can still be used below it. In such conditions, high winds can tear a tent apart. One way to combat this problem is to lower the profile of the tent so that it catches less wind. To do this, reduce the height of the tent’s center pole to about two-thirds of its original length.
